CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
Welcome to Sagebrush Cantina, a cherished Southern California landmark that has been an integral part of Calabasas since its humble beginnings in 1974. Originally opening as a small one-room Mexican restaurant in the rustic Old Town location, Sagebrush Cantina has witnessed the transformation of this historic neighborhood on the west end of the San Fernando Valley.
During its early years, Calabasas saw limited traffic on Calabasas Road, the main passage through town, until the completion of the 101 freeway in the late 1960s. The subsequent decades witnessed substantial growth in the area, with new homes, businesses, and the development of the Calabasas Commons. Sagebrush Cantina played a pivotal role as one of the early catalysts for this growth, earning its place as a cornerstone in the community.
As Calabasas evolved into an upscale community, Sagebrush Cantina also expanded, both physically and in its culinary offerings. What began as a modest Mexican eatery transformed into a dynamic establishment, featuring an extensive menu of authentic Mexican food and American fare. Live music by popular local rock bands was introduced, drawing in crowds and solidifying Sagebrush Cantina as a premier destination for exceptional food and entertainment.
The restaurant's grounds now encompass spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas, along with a lengthy bar equipped with numerous large-screen TVs for sporting events.
The renowned outside mega-patio, complete with a concert stage, hosts electrifying performances by LA's best bands on weekends, creating an atmosphere where patrons can relish in great food, drinks, and dancing.
